One room or two ?

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. I converted a 2 into 1. it was a small 2 bed terrace and I wanted to have a shower installed. Getting rid of the door and using the toilet walk way gave the space and made the usable room seem much bigger. Then again it was used by just two people.

If you need dual use then I suppose it would be possible to move the loo forward towards the door and have the walkway space available behind to add to the bathroom. I suppose if more then 2 people resided then I think a 2 might be the better option.

Changing is probably at a cost, so unless renovating most would just leave as is
