Onduline roof refurbishment

#408495

Postby ivahunch » May 1st, 2021, 8:23 am

The onduline roof of my 16x8 ft apex shed is 18 years old and is showing its age and I am wondering whether to replace it? But I still have 2 large drums of reflective roof paint which I used to paint on a bitumen flat roof. So I am wondering if I could paint this on the onduline to help refurbish it?

N.B. The onduline is fixed directly to the horizontal rafters, which leads to condensation. So when I do have to replace the onduline I am thinking of fixing it over a roof membrane to help insulate

The paint will help, for a while.
Onduline becomes brittle.
But the paint will help. For a while.

Thanks - it seems a shame not to use the paint I already have
I forgot to mention that I noticed something even started nibbling one of the ridge pieces so I have replaced that already. I'd no idea it was so tasty!
