A light fitting with changeable bulbs can last a lifetime, you can buy different bulbs in terms of brightness to suit your brightness needs and probably never have to use an electrician. What advantageous are there of fittings with non changeable bulbs?

Okay, I'll bite. I have an LED floor lamp, standing about five feet high, which can give me five different shades of brightness and five different Kelvins, from cosy yellow through daylight to a sharpish blue tint. And all at the touch of a button on the remote control. Who needs interchangeable bulbs?

I'd be tempting fate if I said it would last me a lifetime, but since it only cost me about £25 I don't think I'd be too aggrieved if it only lasted a quarter of a century. ;)
