Not bothered by the price but you're right, it needs to be 1.25 or 1.5mm

You used to be able to buy cable sheaths in a wide range of colours, perhaps that would be an alternative idea?

Seems a tricky order. Just failed with my Googling but did find this gold coloured sheathing in various sizes. Only thing I can think of apart from that is running smaller cables in parallel, but with the cables I did find you'd have to have three of them!

Thanks all for having a look. I just wondered if I'd missed something. It's for an electric fire and the provided black just looks dreadful. Although it's a lot more work, I've now decided on dropping the cable through the floor and across to a nearby socket. Cheers.
