Well how about on the day after, Friday 31st? Trouble is there is always likely to be someone that can't make a certain date, I appreciate that, and there's no reason why that shouldn't be me. (although I'd really like to meet those of my fellow moderators that I haven't already met). C.

How about a poll ? You can have multiple choices so I (for example) could select both Thursday and Friday, whereas you Mr S would select Friday only.
Go with the best number after a defined drop-dead date.
If we do Friday, no whinging it's too busy

My problem with a Friday is that I am *over London* by then, too tired and bored of it all.

But, it's OK, I can cope for one evening.

I will make an effort to attend either date, and will quietly move aside now to let the masses decide.
I'm happy to step in on a consultancy/research basis though....

It's all very kind of you not to tell me outright to take a hike, so I'm more than happy to accept the outcome of any decision, especially such a democratic one, even if it goes 48:52 against Friday.
