The Lemon Fool

Hi all

The inaugural TLF socila is planned for Thursday 30th March, from 6pm at The Clachan.

There will be at least two of us there, so do feel free to come along and buy me a drink

It has taken a lot of organising so I hope it has a good attendance. The most exciting part of the night is being able to walk up to people and say "are you a Lemon?" - try it, it's really fun!

Clachan is Gaelic for 'meeting place'.

Mmm, Thursday is an issue for me as I would need a train, a hotel, and 2 days off work

Merely a thought but should this one be locked, such that Lemon Fools go to viewforum.php?f=42 to discuss meeting Melon Fool and possibly even Snorvey?

I'd imagine for Stooz it ca only be Friday, based on the 'day off work/hotel' comment.

I can do a Friday, just, as people have said, tend not to as it's busy.

But - happy to change to 31st as csearle has also suggested?

It'll be busier on a Friday, although there's normally a lull between the post-work and Friday-night-out peaks
Not a lot we can do about trains other than check for planned works/strike action. They normally manage to lob a spanner in the works

Any night of the week except Tuesday is good for me but Thursday is preferable to Fridays for me.

I might well attend, but I'm confused about which date we are planning. Also, we seem to have two separate threads actively discussing this.

Given that you'll never please everyone (first law of group socials), I suggest it's best to pick a definite date, and just go for it.

Thursday 30 or Friday 31 March - initial plan was the Thursday, but there is some support for Friday
I will ask the mods to move this thread to the Lemon Socials board so at least everything is in one place

30th or 31st fine for me. Prefer 30th.
