National Trust opens up for walking

#292296

Postby bungeejumper » March 19th, 2020, 11:48 am

I see that the National Trust is opening up a large number of its parks and gardens to the public, free of charge, in the general hope that getting out and about into the fresh air will help people who are feeling "hemmed in" by the coronavirus emergency. At the same time, it will be closing many/most of its indoor venues, because cramming people together just isn't a good idea any more.

So if the kids are driving you mad, or if you want somewhere different to walk the dog, the world is now your lobster. More details at https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/press- ... s-covid-19 .

National Trust closes parks and gardens, asking people to avoid travel and comply with Government social distancing guidance

Growing demand and likelihood of increase in visits tomorrow due to Mothering Sunday prompts charity to close gated parks and gardens
Tightening travel guidance and social restrictions mean parks and gardens will be closed from tomorrow onwards, along with houses, shops and cafe
