42TF (Co-op repayment notes)

#373434

Postby KrispyDuck » January 5th, 2021, 1:47 pm

Has any holder of these notes received the 1p per note payment for 2020? I thought the record date was around 20 Dec with payment usually credited to my account around 30 December (though AJ Bell have a habit of listing a payment retrospectively some days earlier than actual payment is made).

Hopefully I'm fretting unnecessarily :)

I have a few of these and iDealing credited my accounts on December 21st.

Are you sure record date is December 20th?

How long have you held them - often if a recent purchase then brokers receive a cheque and then wait ages for that to clear before crediting your account?

Laughton, I've held these pretty much since they were issued (bought in the market) and, as far as I recall, always received payment in December. I did just get a response from AJ Bell who say they haven't yet received the money. I'll wait a few more days before properly panicking.

I'd have hoped that they might have said that they hadn't received the money but were now going to chase it up.

To be fair, that is almost exactly what they did say. I was over-simplifying :)

Hargreaves Lansdown credited my account on 21 December. The payment always comes through as a return of capital corporate action, so does not show up as "income". Could it be that you are looking in the wrong place?

For the record, payment was finally made on Friday 8 Jan. Though, as is their way, AJ Bell are showing this on my cash statement as having been credited on 21 Dec.. Ho hum.
