Checking my contract notes, indeed, my buys of both TN24 & TN25 during the Truss-Kwarteng debacle period settled at T+2. That was with Interactive Investor.

From memory of my life in the City, and I'm not aware it has changed, Gilts usually settle T+1 when traded on the secondary market. Sounds like retail customers (who aren't trading on the secondary market as the counterparty) are settled a day later in the transaction between them and their broker/agent.

I always thought so... For Index Linked Gilts I have bought recently, the settlement seems to be the next working day.

Reading more... Gilts always had T+1 settlement!!!

That's curious. The gilts I bought recently (TN24) both settled T+2!

I checked the contract notes... Gilts(normal and index linked) bought at youinvest(AJ Bell) settled at T+1, the ones that were bought at HL(normal and index linked) settled at T+2
