BlackRock Sustainable American Income Trust plc is an investment trust that aims to provide an attractive level of income return together with capital appreciation over the long term, in a manner consistent with the principles of sustainable investing adopted by the Company.

Speaker bios
Scott Malatesta, Managing Director, is Head of Global Income & Value Product Strategy. He is responsible for driving commercial success for US-Global based Income & Value strategies by planning strategic direction, aligning with distribution partners, and representing the teams’ investment capabilities to external & internal clients.

Scott’s service with the firm dates back to 2003, including his years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), which merged with BlackRock in 2006. At MLIM, he was a product strategist for the Basic Value team. Prior to joining MLIM in 2003, he was a senior portfolio strategist with AllianceBerstein. Previously, he was a Director of US mutual funds with Alliance Capital Management.
Scott earned a BS degree in finance from Mt. Saint Mary College in 1993 and a MBA degree in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1999.

Nathan Achezinski, Vice President, is a Product Strategist within the Active Equities Group at BlackRock representing Income strategies. In this capacity, he primarily supports the US Income & Value investment team on a global basis to both retail and institutional clients. He is responsible both for providing a link between the investment team and all client groups and for providing insight on the Active Equities product platform.

His service with the firm dates back to 2009, when he joined the firm as part of BlackRock’s Analyst Program. He earned a BS degree in finance & accounting from Lehigh University in 2009.
