HY IT
Hi
Is there anywhere I could find a list of IT that have high yields?
I, for whatever reason, like income from my ITs, then I can play with it and invest it somewhere else.
The two I have currently are quite high at c5%, but I want to sell one of them and would prefer something giving a similar level of income but not with the same type of underlying investments - is there a way to cut down the number of factsheets I have to wade through?

Re: HY IT
The AIC website has a find and compare IT page, that allows sorting by div yield.

Here you go: https://www.theaic.co.uk/aic/find-compa ... =&manager=
If every IT sorted by yield is too much you can filter by sector/geography/needs/etc....
[Edit: Seems to be a popular source ]

Re: HY IT
Thank you - I like those.
This is the one I am trying to replace: Invesco Perpetual Enhanced Income
And this is the one I retain: CQS New City High Yield
Chosen as both quite high yield and compliment each other, in theory.

Re: HY IT
Henderson High Income (HHI)
Henderson Diversified Income (HDIV)
I actually bought a small tranche of HDIV today.
As I already have a UK HYP, "HHI" would only be duplication of quite a few existing holdings.
I'd also point to the AIC. All the data can be downloaded into a spreadsheet and sorted however one might desire.

Re: HY IT
Be aware that HDIV reduced its dividend w.e.f. Dec last year:

I guess I'm having a "senior moment", but could you show this idiot how?

Re: HY IT
Melonfool, they both invest in junk (well mostly sub investment grade). I feel happier buying this stuff at a discount and selling when they run at a premium. I got out of IPE in the high 70’s, thinking about buying in now as the premium has gone.
NCYF trades at a punchy premium.....will it last?

I didn't understand a word of that.
Which 'both' do you mean anyway? I'll detangle the rest when I've got that straight!

Interesting,.....I'm having a senior moment too!
I downloaded the full list on 5 April 2018 with no problems (and have downloaded it previously).
I came to look how to do it today (in response to your post, VRD) and things appear to have changed!
However, if you now go into
- Find and compare investment companies
- Interactive statistics
This will present a full table with the option to review the data in 3 ways (previous working day : month end : or year end).
At least it presents all the info on one continuous screen.
I note it is a BETA ("Please note that this tool is currently a beta version which is still undergoing final testing and may be subject to further amendments over time.")
This makes me suspect (rightly or wrongly?) that they have been changing the AIC website. I note that there is also options to filter data and to omit columns that one is not interested in.
The data can be sorted by any of the columns (company name / management group/ // gearing/yield etc. ) within the AIC website by clicking on the red boxes.

Thanks for that. Thought I'd lost my marbles looking for the "download" button! I'll keep an eye on it to see if the beta version changes to add the functionality back in.

I find that most tables in HTML can be downloaded into Notepad, then copied to a spreadsheet and then recreated by Text to Columns. Column separators are usually tabs, as I recall.

I was hoping to avoid the legwork (there are 24 pages of data before applying filters) but yes, it's possible to grab the data from the screen(s).
Alternatively, I could get off my backside and work out how to do it properly with a bit of VBA...
