#215356

Notification today that I must allow transfer of my Claverhouse to The Share Centre or make other arrangements.

Any comments on TSC?

Sorry but unable to help. Quite a few of these schemes are/have moved recently. I guess they move to whichever gives them the best deal so it may be worth shopping around for your circumstances. I'm with Hargreaves Lansdown for my IT's as they come in at an annual cost of zero to hold in a Fund & Share a/c, £45 for ISA and £200 for SIPP.

Lang Cat used to have a nice comparison table but that seems to be behind subscriber login now, looks free to register though. An alternative is at http://www.comparefundplatforms.com/ but I don't see TSC there. It may be worthwhile registering at LangCat although without registering you can download their ISA cost guide from https://cdn.langcatfinancial.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/02193305/the-lang-cat-guide-to-ISA-pricing-2019-1.pdf As you can see, HL is expensive unless you are using Shares (IT's)

Were you holding the IT through a JP Morgan specialist service? As it's just an IT, you could hold it anywhere.

David,

Speaking as a moderator, and someone who is reasonably familiar with the AIC and who has dealt with Elmley and Annabel in a professional capacity, I'd be happy for you to be a bit more upfront about pointing people towards the AIC. Take this as carte blanche to do so, within sensible limits, and feel free to refer any complainants to this post.

You are very kind. I didn't want to take the mickey but also didn't want to NOT point people to what could be a valuable, free, resource for them. I will respect the spirit of your offer to only offer links where I believe relevant and helpful.

So regarding this particular topic. The AIC have a section on the home page called "Choosing a Platform" with various information from us and the LangCat mentioned previously to help users on costs, voting and types of vehicles available.

Best Regards
David
