Bouleversee asked a question relating to a JP Morgan fund and was wondering how it compared against CTY.
Using the HL comparison tool - for the last 5 years, there is not a lot to chose from the two funds.
However, this didn't look correct to me, so I removed the JPM fund, leaving just CTY.
Which is correct - a Total Return of <10% (graph 1) or >40% (graph 2) ?

Your first example starts in Dec 17, the second starts in Oct 14, so not a like-for-like comparison.

Re: Hargreaves Lansdown Comparison Tool query
Ah, well spotted. I wonder why there is no data for the JPM fund over the last 5 years on the HL website for the JPM fund which was launched in 1997?
However, what limited data is available suggests that there is not much difference between the total return of the 2 funds - well, not since Dec 17.

Might it be the E class units which are only relatively recently launched and presumably lower cost without trail commissions?

Yes, H-L tools regularly spring that on you. Look for an older share class (typically "A") in the fund in question to get a longer graph or comparison (and be sure to select "total return" unless you have good reasons to do otherwise).
