Thanks richfool, that would seem to be an approach where charges are viewed with a sensible perspective. I am satisfied that there doesn't appear to be any reason for giving them any more thought than that - so I won't!

As an addendum to this WWH thread:
Spotted on the AIC's Citywire feed ...

"Worldwide Healthcare bets on diabetes treatment for growth"
https://www.theaic.co.uk/aic/news/citywire-news/worldwide-healthcare-bets-on-diabetes-treatment-for-growth

Make of it what you will.

"Isn't it better to pay a nominal 2% for a net 10% return than 1% for a 5% return?"

Well yes, if the future net 10% return were guaranteed. However, the problem is you might just as easily pay an annual 2% management fee and end up getting a 5% return or worse.

Many people greatly underestimate the compounding effect of high management fees on the long-term value of their investments, as explained on this web page:

Peka, Thanks for the link to the article re charges, however I think it was agreed that WWH doesn't have high or excessive charges, therefore perhaps the discussion about the cumulative effect of charges would be better pursued on another thread. (wink).

For anyone thinking of adding WWH to their portfolios, note it goes ex-dividend on the 14th June.
