non-Vanguard ETF for Developed Europe ex-U.K (in euros)

#153866

Postby petronius » July 21st, 2018, 8:33 am

I have a multicurrency bank account (with Fineco Bank UK), and I would like to invest some euros in an ETF (or passive fund) covering Developed Europe ex-U.K. Their platform allows me to access Frankfurt, Amsterdam and the other major exchanges in Europe.

I would like this ETF/fund to be denominated in euros. I know Vanguard have a good product for this (VERX), but I am already heavily invested with Vanguard and would prefer to buy a product from another large company if possible.

iShares have an ETF too, (MSCI Europe ex-UK UCITS ETF), but Morningstar says it is expensive (0.4 % annual charge) and not diversified enough.

Can anybody suggest alternative ETFs/funds in euros for this market?

I tend to use this site to search and get basic details on ETFs: http://www.justetf.com.

The cheapest European equity ETFs are on the Euro Stoxx 50 which excludes the UK but covers only the largest of large caps. A couple of minutes of scrolling on that side threw up the following additional possibilities at 25bps or below TER.

Xtrackers MSCI EMU Index UCITS ETF 1D
Source MSCI Europe ex-UK UCITS ETF A
Amundi Index MSCI EMU UCITS ETF - EUR (C)

Thanks Snagga, the website looks like a useful resource.

The Source MSCI Europe ex-UK UCITS ETF has a competitive TER, will look into it.

I think the following Momentum subset of the MSCI is also worth considering:
