ETF Screeners

#208272

Postby NorwichFool » March 17th, 2019, 8:21 pm

Anyone able to recommend a good screener for ETFs available to purchase in the UK?
Especially would like to include dividend yield.
Thanks.

Trustnet has a screener for ETFs, as well as other categories of investment. To obtain the yield, use the "customise columns" tab. Here's the link:

https://www.trustnet.com/fund/price-performance/e/exchange-traded-funds?tab=fundOverview&pageSize=50&sortby=Yield&sortorder=desc

I'm afraid that was useless - it didn't pick up any ETFs with a decent yield (max yield shown was 1.86%) and when I searched for IAPD it didn't find it. Not sure if I was doing something wrong or if Trustnet are selecting from a very small pool of ETFs.

I just had a quick look and it gave about 3,500 results. Perhaps you didn't see them all.

You're right, in respect of yields. I am not sure why they show so few yields for ETFS. IAPD is listed but you need to scroll down the page or customise to iShares ETFS. I thought Morningstar's screening tool might throw up more but it doesn't seem to have an ETF yield screening tool. If you try Google, which I am sure you already have, it throws up quite a few articles for higher yielding ETFS but no obvious UK screening tools. Hopefully, somebody else will know of something.

I have had a look around to see if I could find something but 'sort by yield' looks to be a 'premium product' on sites I have seen with the option.

Interested to know if any one does have a solution?

I'd be interested to know which sites have this as a premium feature

https://www.justetf.com/uk/find-etf.html

-> Select Columns -> Dividend Yield(current) and/or Dividend Yield (1 year)
-> shows the column(s) with a little padlock for both and annotation 'premium feature'.

As far as I got.....didn't check coverage!

This is the best ETF screener I've found and it's free

https://www.ig.com/uk/investments/etf

You have to do some playing around with the displayed columns, but it seems fairly comprehensive and easy to use.
I'd be interested on people's views on it.

You could also pay £28 for a 3 month sharepad "trial" - as I can confirm it's easy to check yield and filter to ETF on that platform.

I've just had a play with this and it seems much better. Picks up my usual suspects in the high dividend arena like IAPD, IDVY and a few other eg IEDY that might be interesting to me. Doesn't seem to find EMDV from State Street. EMDV's divi has been falling and IEDY might be an alternative.

Hi,

is the subcription at justetf worth it? (Sorry I can't quote the link)

Regards,
