Finding equivalent ETFs in my region

There are some index tracking ETFs I want to include in my SIPP but they're not tradable in the UK so I'm trying to find the nearest equivalent. My current process involves:
1. Looking at the index the ETF is based on
2. Finding all the ETFs in my region (UK) following that index
3. If there are matches for my region then I consider these and lookup some other details like exp.ratio, volatility, sharpe usually on some other sites otherwise
4. Find similar indexes and repeat 2.

I'm doing using trackinsight.com and markets.ft.com and it's a tiresome process so is there a website which directly tells me the closest matches for my region? I've tried similarstocks.com but it appears to be limited to US securities.

What indexes are you trying to track ? Perhaps others may be able to pint you in the right direction.


Other useful ways to find an ETF is to look at the websites of the major providers, here are a few suggestions, there are a wide range of ETFs, bear in mind not all brokers offer all ETFs;
