Gold Climbs Back to Pre-Election Level

Gold was fixed this morning in London at $1,286.10/ounce, according to figures from the LBMA. That compares with $1,283.05 on the afternoon of Nov. 7, 2016, the last fixing before the U.S. presidential election that saw Donald Trump installed in the White House. So gold has now retraced the entire drop after the vote that pulled the price as low as $1,130.55 on the morning of Dec. 22.
