Not sure if this is an appropriate forum, but it may be of interest...

I first read about the Campbells and the Bluebirds as a schoolboy. I was pleased and surprised to read that the Bluebird in which Donald was killed is being rebuilt. There's a premium article in the DT here:

A couple of snippets from the article which I found interesting:

That design was the vision of innovative engineers the Norris Brothers, but construction was handed to Salmesbury Engineering, near Preston, which, ordinarily, made buses. “Bluebird was built to the standards of a bus,” says Bill. “It’s strong and solid, but crude”.
