I was looking at some old post about wrong MOT mileage. Reminded me that on Mrs B's Ka the MOT mileage disagreed with the display. After playing with settings in the 'digital' display (hadn't had one in our 'old' cars), I realised the mileage could show in miles or kilometres (you probably all know this but it was new to us). Looking at previous 'mileages' on the MOT cert, they converted pretty closely to the other units. Seems that the car we bought with 25,000+ on the clock actually had 18,000+, so I am not complaining. Mentioned this at the recent MOT, now showing miles, and they said "It was probably a typo".
Reminder to check the display units, I suppose, as I am going to look at a Fiesta this morning (replacement for my Mk4 Astra - finally).
