I thought it was just the UK that had problems with a bit of snow on the road. It's so nice to know that Canada can do the sane despite the fact that they must have much more practice dealing with the problem.

One does wonder what the temperature was.

Snow is one thing, ice another.

Mrs S' cousin lives in Ontario and has said that he won't take a wheeled vehicle out below about -20C as even with studs on the tyres there is just no grip on the streets. It is not unusual to be -20C, or worse.

Whilst on a skiing holiday to Whistler about 15 years ago, we used a local taxi firm who used old USA police cars which of course were rear wheel drive, we couldn't put anything in the boot because it was full of bags of sand/cement to help give it traction in the snow.

Seems to me letting off the brake and letting it drive would have helped?
