We own a car through our ltd company, I am the registered keeper but the company owns the car.
I wish to buy the car from the company (fed up with paying BIK).
However I am already down as the registered keeper so that will not change. Do I need to fill in the V5c which seem a bit strange or how else to I register the change of ownership?
TIA
John

Ownership isn't registered anywhere.
I doubt you need to do anything. Though it'd be a good idea to get a receipt and hold on to it.

I write to myself all the time. Made myself redundant once.
Presumably the company will invoice it to you? Transfer needs to be done at an arms length price.

Of course...I know it was not treated well by the previous owner!

I gather that the WeBuyAanyCar valuation is acceptable to Inland Revenue for buying a company car.
If the mileage is high then this can be advantageous.

Historically, HMRC rather liked Glass's Guide or Parkers. We used a Parkers valuation, where you can also input the mileage. I think the latter may have involved the payment of a few pounds. You also end up with something for your records.
