Has anyone else noticed a recent trend for cars in - to my mind - a hideous sludge grey colour?

Grey metallic can look very attractive on some cars, but this is just a flat grey, something like this - https://s1.cdn.autoevolution.com/images ... lery_9.jpg

I've no idea why it's become fashionable, but I can't see the trend lasting, and I suspect they'll be difficult to shift in a year or two.

Add a couple of yellow go-faster stripes and you can park it anywhere...

Perhaps the sludge grey is to replace a colour that seemed popular a few years ago..... Mud Brown. Higher-end cars were Metallic Mud Brown. Or perhaps it was nearer to Metallic Rust

That colour always reminded me of Boxing Day walkies when the dog ate a tube of glitter once Xmas.

Grey is in this season, apparently. Very unfortunate, particularly as my wife has just redecorated the main bedromm in grey.

I think she might be trying to tell me something.

Road coloured. Genius.

The most dangerous car I ever had was a Rover 200 series in British racing green. All but invisible in leafy country lanes, and I had more head-on near-misses than I care to recall. :? Oh, how grateful I was when somebody stole it.

colour schmolour. If unpopular collours means the car has to be sold cheaper, then i may get a car for less than id pay if it was a popular colour.

My car has been sludge grey for a long time,
But I think it was silver when I bought it.

Maybe its time to wash it.
