Re: Kawasaki H2
Nice one. Talk about straining at the leash. I had a Kwak 1000 a few years ago but I'll stick with the Bonnie now, it's enough for me at my time of life

Ah, I remember Ogri well...

Re: Kawasaki H2
I bought the very first Bike magazine ever and it changed my life, I was hooked. In my attic I still have an almost complete set of Bike magazines for the first twenty years.
I seem to remember the first "ogri" cartoon was titled "Here come those hOG RIding fools again"
My peak bike moment was the Yamaha R1 first edition chassis number 401. Ridiculous bike on the road but a dream around Brands.

I think you'll find that "ogri" was in current use among California's heavy bikers as long ago as the mid sixties. It denoted the kind of serious road-rash injury that would expose a bone or two, and maybe the odd bit of cartilage, and it would give you certified bragging rights for as long as you continued to live. No proper Oakland Chapter member would have wanted to be without one.

Surprisingly civilised to ride - basically a very fast tourer with a lot of electronics.
A mate took the road version to Cadwell last year and without the panniers in the dry it was a missile, coming out of Barn the race prepped litre bikes with slicks would pull out 20 yards or more then the bike would hook up, the Traction light went off, and the race bikes came backwards again.
He offered me a go in the damp.
I declined.
