Which New Car Makes are Available Now?

DAK which makes have new cars in stock please? Not electric.

My car is deciding it,s had enough of the potholes and bad fuel and wants to retire.

I tried the VW showroom because it,s close by but their 6 month delivery time has been drifting later and later since January.

All car manufacturers are suffering from chip shortages. Ford & VW at 6 months sounds quite good compared to Range Rovers 12-18 months.

You may find a dealer with an unpopular spec or strange colour in stock but I get worried it's what might be called NOS (new old stock) and might have been built a year ago.

My Audi A6 has taken 6 months. For new orders, some Audi parts are made in the Ukraine so expect delays unless they can source parts elsewhere. I suspect VW might also have parts supplied from Ukraine. In addition, there are reportedly shortages of Neon ( Ukraine manufactured) affecting chip manufacture. I've heard from a friend that Toyota Rav 4 are subject to delay, part shortages in Russia.

I have heard that some Toyota models are available without too long a wait. Also a friend has ordered a new Kia Sportage, which also doesn't seem to have too much of a wait.

Have a look at LeaseLoco https://www.leaseloco.com/car-leasing/search and toggle the IN STOCK button on the left margin. Currently giving 339 models for quick, not necessarily instant, delivery. Even if you don't want to lease, it might give you an idea of what brands/models are being shipped.

Nice car! I had three of them (not at the same time) but changed to the Q5. My latest one was going to take 6 months and whilst I was discussing this with the salesman, one suddenly became available at 3500 miles and a few months old so I got round the delay by buying it. Sounds as if the long delays are still with us.

The OP should certainly keep in touch with two or three dealerships if he is not too fussed about the make or possibly the model.
