Re: The BMW XM
There was a 20-odd page thread on Pistonheads complementing how well the BMW designs team has made their individual components, sadly without speaking to each other.
Rumours that Peter Wragg was involved are not true, as he died in 2012.

Re: The BMW XM
Looks kinda Chinese to me. Very classy, very exclusive. All the street presence of a Humvee as seen on Minecraft.
And is that tail end borrowed from a fifteen year old Mk 6 Golf like ours? I do believe it is.
Except that this Beemer's also got that brilliant dead-flat rear bumper, that means that the tiniest little parking shunt at the rear is inevitably going to bend your tailgate to buggery. It's already an acclaimed feature on the Tesla model Y, where a whole new branch of body repair surgery is now emerging. (See, for example, https://insideevs.com/news/406846/tesla ... lem-crash/)
Yeah, that's progress. I'm sure that BMW will be acknowledging its debt to Elon Musk?

Looks to me as though the car is wearing a pair of spectacles.

From £148k, up to 50 miles electric range, 2.8 tons, plug-in hybrid.
Presumably it will carry some sort of dolphin-saving, tax-reducing credentials. So it's net good.
