He didn't seem to make any attempt at taking the bend......he just ploughed straight into the hedge.

I think this one was probably the daddy of them all. On the Cat and Fiddle in Derbyshire. Ignores every white line, every Slow warning sign, then straight into the path of an oncoming car and over a 40 foot embankment. I don't know how he survived it at all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjB9fszqXDI. Count the spins on the camera, if you can. (I can't.) What a plonker. Ought to be compulsory viewing.

Both riders seem pretty inept. Both seemed to not turn in at the crucial moment. If either had committed to the turn it seems to me they would have made it.

Stupid riding that has no place on the public roads but both were riding so badly below the capability of the bikes they were on.

I used to go on regular track days and have been on several race schools and it seems apparent that these guys just did not know what they were doing.

The only aspect of this I didn't understand was why the video was captioned "Contains some upsetting scenes."

It should have read "Contains some deeply satisfying scenes." ;)
