My fig tree (actually a large shrub grown against next-door's garage) is giving its best crop by far in the 30 years since I planted it. Any other fig-growers having a similar experience?

My daughter (in Surrey) reports the same. A record crop.
But it will take a lot of global warming before (outdoor) figs will prosper in Scotland

I have a fig tree in my garden, full on sun - it has a lot of mini figs on it but I can't see that they are ever going to ripen.

Last year I moved in about this time of year and it had figs on but my neighbour decided, without me asking, to cut it right back so he literally chopped all the fruit off. So, I've never seen it past this time of year, we will see what happens assuming annoying neighbour doesn't chop it down again.
