Can anyone identify this duck? I know one photo also shows the head of a Red-crested Pochard but I haven’t been able to identify the other.
I took the pictures on Tuesday in Greenwich Park.

It is a bit smaller than a Mallard.
Also not tried the shared iCloud album before but hoping it works.

Re: Mystery duck
Southern South America?
It’s a bit off course then.
Still, it explains why my Merlin bird photo ID app didn’t recognise it, as I only downloaded the European Birds pack, to save storage.
The same small pond also has common Pochard, is the only place I have so far seen the Red-crested Pochard. That’s a lot of Pochards.
The Google image search is impressive. Do you access it from Google Photos?

Just type Google.co.uk in your browser to go to the Google home page. Top right, click the Images link and a 'camera' icon appears in the search box. Click on it and you can search by giving the url of an image, or by uploading an image file.
In this case I took a snip of just the part of your 1st photo with the duck in it and uploaded that. It found matching images and identified it in the search box as 'duck'. I added the search term 'identify' and refreshed the image search to get that link I found.

Re: Mystery duck
It's a Norwegian Blue ... parrot?
It does look a bit like a Swedish blue, bred for their colour but the colour is not stable across generations.

Re: Mystery duck
I tried looking for it with the phone Safari at first, but this seems to require a computer version to see the camera icon. Useful resource, though.
I went nearer home yesterday and was surprised to see a Little Egret actually fishing. By chance I was mostly behind a bush when I noticed it, and much closer than I had been to one before. Then to cap it off I saw it take a small fish, and rake around with a foot (presumably to stir up the stream bed) and while it was doing that, heard a Cetti’s Warbler nearby!
