In the midst of the cold wet sleet, my Lenten Roses are in flower exactly on cue, this being the first Sunday of Lent. Of course snowdrops have been out for a while, the crocus is showing colour and daffodil bulbs are in bud. Spring seems to me to be more like on time this year and more importantly is not that far off.
