Deer graze on east London housing estate

Residents were stunned to see a herd of deer grazing outside their front doors on an estate in east London.

A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said the precise number of birds on the loose was unknown, but the local policing team believed it could be up to 20.

Some say there's only one bird, others say they're multiplying in the wild. You'd have thought they could have sorted that question out with a single paintball, wouldn't you?

There's a bunch of rheas wild in northern Germany, a few escaped from a farm in 2000, now there's estimated to be about 500 of them. It's surreal coming across them grazing in the fields.
