There seems to be a lot more of it about in my area of the Kent/Sussex border, but surely it is white, hence the name.
I am particularly pleased there is a lot around a local farm with a name derived from the plant. A name dating back to the 13th century.

PS is there a Welsh name for it?

===========================

have found blodau'r gog - which may be a general name for flower of the north .

it seems they are mostly lilac with occasional whites .

a member of the brassicae family - cardamine tribe .

also called cuckoo flower seemingly as it flowers when cuckoo's arrive .

Posted to the wrong topic. Up here in North Wales we call them May flower or blodyn Mai in Welsh.
