Charlie may be both lazy (hot weather?) and subtle. Perhaps he knew that in the time it would take for him to swing around and grab with a paw, the crow would have flown. So he was waiting ...waiting until the crow hopped just a little nearer his front paws. Then whop!

Unlikely. Charlie has never gone for birds. Rabbits are his faves, while he'll also eat bits of mice, rats or squirrels. Leaving me to clear the bits he leaves. Never any feathers anywhere.

If one pecked his tail, I think he'd whack it with a claw.
