Mr Hunt has, in the autumn statement said he wants us to get our Sid on. He is planning to sell some Nat West shares.
Will this be money for nothing or nothing for the money.
Best I get saving just in case.

If he's planning to undercut the market price that will make a further dent in the few shares that I already own. Oh well, I suppose I could use it as a means to average down

Old Wall Street saying: "Losers average losers".
Don't do it, this thing has been a dog since forever. I should know, I bank with them.

Well I expect there will be a discount to get the ball moving but I suspect individually it might be a small amount. £500 - £1000 I can't remember how much Royal mail you could buy at the time.
I do remember that some MP was shouting that the price was set too low only for it to drop further. I did sell mine fairly quickly and glad I did although I haven't checked recently.
I expected the unions to rule the thing into a grinding halt

Not really that problematic, they have been offloading their holdings gradually for years.
