New drama series on BBC1 looking at the near future (2019-2030's) through the eyes of one family.
I've seen 3 episodes so far, and after a slow start in Episode 1 where I nearly abandoned watching, it's turned into a very good and thought-provoking drama about the really big issues facing us in the future and how they could personally affect people, with some very plausible (though gloomy) scenarios.
Some people might think it's a little too PC for their tastes, but sometimes it's good to look at life from a different viewpoint.

Having watched it all now, I thought it was excellent. I mean, yes, it's got current and obvious parallels, but that's the point I think. And yes, it asks some big questions. Thought provoking, terrifying, disturbing, and in the end, good drama.

Re: Years and years
I have seen the first two episodes and have loved it from the start. Sometimes I wish Russell T Davis would ram his sexuality down our throats quite so blatantly but apart from some over the top blatant sex scenes I think it is very thought provoking.
