Oh, how as a 9 year-old, I wish I'd stuck with my piano lessons but Miss Crump made them so boring... :-(

She's a bit of a local legend round these parts - quite amazing to watch!

On a very different part of the piano plane here's a prepared performance that I enjoyed watching recently:

takes a couple of minutes to get going

Oh my word, some of that was spine-tinglingly good. She's paid her dues to Beethoven, by the sound of it. Quite remarkable that she can improvise in that way.

Thanks, you've brightened my day. :D

Annie Lennox, beautifully modulated https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_efac2Ajkc

This piece was the finale of Sunday's Words & Music, a programme usually worth a listen.

Here is one of the best song Self Care from Swimming album by Mac Miller. He was a great rapper but unfortunately passed away very early. It was his last album :(

Welcome to TLF, Monroe. :)

Unfortunately this fella passed away early because he thought fentanyl would improve his coke experience. :|

You haven't provided a link to the track, so here's one. Care to say a bit more about what you like about it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsKT0s5 ... o&index=16

Seems (hopefully) apposite, 'Democracy' by Leonard Cohen, Live in London:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHI9BTpGkp8

Leonard Cohen wrote:...
I'm sentimental, if you know what I mean
I love the country but I can't stand the scene
And I'm neither left or right
I'm just staying home tonight
Getting lost in that hopeless little screen
But I'm stubborn as those garbage bags
That time cannot decay
I'm junk but I'm still holding up
This little wild bouquet
Democracy is coming to the U.S.A

Rock on Janis .....

I watched the Eric Clapton 'Crossroads Guitar Festival' recently and was very taken by these two acts I've not come across before. Lianne La Havas and The Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Derek Trucks is the real deal - incredible talent ( and I'm not normally a slide fan)

It still blows my mind to think that this track was released in 1977....

Donna Summer - I feel love (HQ audio) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVeHtDHogLg

Of course, having Giorgio Moroder on board as the resident production genius helped somewhat....

This is a high-quality version of the track, and it deserves turning up on some good speakers...

Cheers,
