Ready Player One.

Saw the preview of Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One.

Having had a relative addicted to computer games, I can see how the virtual reality scenario set in 2043 might happen as an extension of the current smart phone addiction.

Enjoyed the action and I reckon it was worth one more star than the 3/5 given by this NME review:-

We watched 'Ready Player 1' on a really wet afternoon this weekend, and I really enjoyed it.

I admit to spending so much time trying to spot all the 80's-reference easter-eggs that the film absolutely flew by, but I thought it was a great VR-themed blast.

As someone who was heavily into games during the 80's, and who seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find all the 'Design Design' easter-eggs in their ZX Spectrum game high-score tables and such-like* (before we even knew of the term easter-egg, I'll add...), I thought some of the ideas being used in the film were superb.

Cheers,

Itsallaguess
