Talking Pictures TV

I'm finding myself enjoying TV more since this channel started broadcasting. It's fascinating to see films set in England 70 years ago. People speak differently, look different (smaller, and the men sinewy) and culturally a sense of .... indefinable things...... can't put my finger on it or find the words .... Besides feature films and drama, the station has documentaries and 'public information' films. I watched a short film a couple of days ago, which seemed to have been made for children, about the dangers of playing in the road! Interesting to think that now in some areas of the country, there are communities attempting to re-institute playing in roads, to get kids out and running around, instead of staying indoors and living in the virtual digital world.

I don't watch much TV but when I do I usually check this channel out. I like the Gideon of Scotland Yard TV series.

Agreed.

I have a link on the homepage of my tablet to their TV schedule - there is a film or programme worth watching or recording most days.

Correction, Gideon's Way, not of Scotland Yard.

Excellent channel, in my opinion the best thing that's happened on TV for some time - since the days of the old Carlton Cinema channel, if anyone remembers that
