I was 17, India/Nepal, early 80s, my C90 had:

Thought I got it before I went, but in retrospect didn't. Really got it by the time I survived and got home, and yet probably didn't :)

Not just the song, it was the 35-40 minute album

Then as it was on a home-made tape in a Walkman, it had written over a few earlier recordings so occasionally this popped up in 5 second gaps, but I'll never forget the bass-line:

Weird where that came from, maybe a 'lovin' tape' for the bird I left behind :)

I still like/respect this song. And The Doors/Bowie invite more of a challenge - though not sure despite having heard each 100's of times I would welcome hearing either again [hhhhh?]
