I heard this song over the weekend, one I know well and thoroughly like. Realising it probably wasn't titled after some random Irish granny [or similar] I started looking into it. Wow, talk about deep and complex, I'd never imagined!
This The Who performing it live:

'The Who - Live In Hyde Park is a concert film featuring The Who's performance at Hyde Park London on 26th June 2015, as part of their 50th anniversary tour'
Seeing^ suddenly the 'layered' intro and the back-lighting of the set all make sense!
This is the most detailed analysis of the songs meaning and context I found:

This is the piece of Terry Riley's 'In C' music referenced in ^ [note the 'layering'] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNi0bukYRnA
And this is the second piece 'A Rainbow in Curved Air' similarly referenced^. A live version introduced/explained by the composer himself [There is that layered intro per the Who composition again] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCyXWSS4N0M

Re: The Who - Baba O'Riley. Meaning? - Wow!
Baba O'Reily? Holy cow, that performance was more akin to one by Old Mother Reily rather than anything in the 16 gigs I saw them perform over the years. I'd say it's time they called time and sat back to bask in the memories of half a century of showing the world how it should be done and not participating in performances of showing how it shouldn't be done.
