Two films from the same director.
"Hardin, these are the good Cajuns"
"We never should've left Missouri"

Yes and the other one is The Long Riders - James boys when their night riding days weren't yet over.

"I hate little notes on my pillow, like this morning: "We're all out of cornflakes. F.U. Took me 3 hours to figure out that F.U. was Felix Unger. It's not your fault, Felix, it's a rotten combination".

Great film indeed - and the book has been the basis of many a poster's English Lit studies I bet!

Re: Movie Quote Quiz
The silence is deafening. Is that through lack of interest (BrummieDave excepted) or is a clue to be necessitated? I'll move with the latter, so listen up and pay attention all you at the back.
Through the audacity, inginuity and tenacity of one man, R.P.McMurphy (evoke any notion?), eight others were unshackled from their mental and physical imprisonment enabling them all to embark on a momentous trip of freedom and adventure for a mere fraction of time.
Now let's bring it in for a conclusion.

Re: Movie Quote Quiz
I’m sure there are plenty here who recognised some of the names of the “doctors”, even if the Oscar winning nurse herself wasn’t mentioned. I thought the idea was not to name the films, unless with a spoiler alert.
What if were to mention “I’d like a side order of wheat toast”? Would that be too much of a clue as to the actor involved?

Are you quite sure about that?

Ah, that movie was always in 'the bucket list' of mine.

There's often exceptions. Not sure it was a rule though, JMN's idea that quotes would be slightly inaccurate but I imagine answers didn't have to be.

Not one I've seen but did they visit the diner and manage to order off menu, successfully?

Do you swear?
Yes, I swear, I totally swear!
Because I don't want to come back in five minutes and find you hiding in a f***** cupboard.
