4/10. Keira Knightley stars as "Colette" in a 19th century period drama set in France.
Colette is a bright girl who grows up in rural France and marries a famous novelist/entrepreneur who is both egotistical and controlling, finds her own talent for writing, and spends the rest of the film trying with varying degrees of success to assert her independence from her annoying husband. That's it really. To enjoy this film, you have to like Keira Knightley a lot and/or enjoy watching period shots of 19th century Paris.
