Hal Blaine was one of the great studio drummers in pop music history. He claimed to have played on more than 35,000 sessions and 6,000 singles, and was a member of the Wrecking Crew, Phil Spector's house band. Blaine's great moments included the iconic intro to "Be My Baby" by the Ronettes, and he also played on singles including "Good Vibrations" and "Mrs. Robinson."
