RIP Dick Dale
He may be unknown to many of you but he was known as "The King of The Surf Guitar" one of the movers and shakers in the West Coast surf music genre. Essentially a test pilot for the newly developing products of Leo Fender. If you haven't heard of the Fender Stratocaster guitar you have been living elsewhere in the universe. Said to be the father of surf music and an influence to Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen. Many of you will be more familiar with his contribution to the movie "Pulp Fiction" with his 1962 hit, Misirlou.
