The last week at middle school of 13 year old Katya. Cracking performance by Elsie Fisher. A slice of suburban adolescence. True to say her last year has not been an overwhelming success she looks forward to high school. Although set in America I think the themes are universal.
Not a special effect in sight! Just a really good film as she explores her feelings and outlook on life. No gushing sentimentality. It sounds and feels right. Touching and holds you from start to finish.
