I loved the film and liked the book and was surprised to be told that this is supposed to be closer to the book, but there was nothing slightly amusing in what we sat through.

I won't bother, all new drama on TV is awful nowadays.

Though most of it's for women, about women, by women, so not aimed at me. I can safely ignore TV now.

Occasionally there's a good film on at the flicks.

Bland adaptation of classic novel and subsequent ok film by Mike Nicholls.

Summed up by main character being renamed Yoyo - Heller named him Yossarian for several good reasons.

The acting in the TV adaptation is mediocre - especially the lead.

Stonge - what your reply has to do with Catch 22 is a mystery - irrelevant and untrue.
