My lockdown watching today was a trip down memory lane: the very first Buffy episode, on 4 Music.
How I used to love that, and it's so nice to enter a world in which there's nothing to worry about but blood sucking vampires and the hellmouth which lurks under a peaceful town.
I thought it stood the test of time rather well, or perhaps it's just that I haven't. SMG was indeed very cute and it's nice to see her kicking butt. Alison Hannigan so young and as though butter wouldn't melt, and the one-line humour and put downs still get me going.
You can keep the modern Dr Who which by comparison is fantastic nonsense

Watched it recently again trying to convince my 13yr old it was worth a punt
- I loved it; she wasn't convinced
- but at least I now know where I recognized Julie Benz from when I saw her in Dexter
