BBC adaptation of Nancy Mitford novel. Great fun coupled with accompanying scandal of last year thrown into mix. Even passing reference to Bullingdon Club. By why oh why is the sound at times so poor?

I enjoyed the first episode, so this will become a Sunday night fixture for me. Some of my "purist" freinds objected to the music, and would have preferred something more contemporary with the times. However, I thought the modern take of the music gave a great atmosphere.
I thought the bathroom scene might have been a little more revealing - following in the enlightened footsteps of Normal People which treated nudity and sex in a very naturalistic way.

Oh dear me - more mumbling - had to put the subtitles on.

A Rees-Mogg scene!

Sorry. I hated the first episode so didn't watch the second.

I enjoyed the first episode and didn't notice any poor sound quality. I did think the music choices were "interesting".

After a couple of episodes, I've come to the conclusion that I don't care for any of the characters and am not enjoying it much - despite the era, the costumes even the manners being something I am in theory attracted to. I'm not giving up before the end, though!

Agree Arb. Just watched final episode and the champagne in my glass has gone from cool and fizzing to flat and tepid.
