Prison drama by Jimmy McGovern. Episode 2 of 3 on Sunday evening at 9pm, though I've watched all 3 which are available on iPlayer.

Amazingly powerful and thought-provoking, with Sean Bean as a fish-out-of-water prisoner and Stephen Graham as a prison officer coping with unbearable stress.

Highly recommended.

Scott.

So many important issues covered by this new drama, and McGovern yet again finds a way to allow viewers to hold sympathetic views on a large range of issues related to the UK today.

I was shocked how affected I was by the scene where the knife fight was described to the parents of the lad who died.

When the murderer said that once the fight got to the stage where he felt the need to get his knife out, it was then harder not to use it than to actually use it, the scene seemed to clearly highlight so many of the main issues surrounding knife crime today...

Essential viewing...

Cheers,

Itsallaguess
