Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Ugh. What a horrible title.

But not nearly as horrible as the trailer . . . https://twitter.com/IndianaJones/status ... 4347034625

I applaud the film makers for trying to make it exciting but you need to have a modicum of believability that the star is doing his own stunts, even when most Hollywood actors don’t. Does anyone believe that 80 year old Harrison Ford is running around doing his own stunts here?

This film will tank as badly as the previous one which was also shocking.

Ah...is he back to the good stuff: Nazis and Judaeo-Christian artefacts? It seems yes for the former but not clear for the latter.

It seems the New York ticker tape parade scenes were filmed in ... Glasgow!

It also seems that Harrison Ford is going to be "de-aged" for some scenes....

Crikey the pic in the link looks like the staggering route from The Pot Still to Central down Hope St

I wonder if it has zombies in it - that's why they fil(u)med that Brad Pitt thing in Glasgow; to save on make-up for the extras

Is it me or is Phoebe Waller-Bridge turning into the new Michael Caine, one of those people who always plays themself in films, rather than a character?

Down that Twitter thread it suggests that IJ5 goes all timey-wimey and ends with both young and old Harrison Ford getting killed to allow (presumably) PWB to play a young IJ in a spinoff TV series.

*shrug*

watched it last night. Wonderfully silly. Its not a film to even start to take seriously - just 2.5 hours of escapism. Does it really matter if HF didn't do his own stunts? Its not exactly news that very very few headline stars of all ages do and that's been the case of a 100 years so its hardly a big deal.

8/10 mainly for silliness and fun.
